Happy birthday to me :-)

Yep, I'm the big 3-5 today!

Russ brought home these beautiful roses which was a nice surprise! They've really opened a lot more since I took this photo earlier this evening. Love them!

I got my 35mm 1.8 lens at the end of last month as an early birthday present so I've been keeping it on my camera & learning to work with it as much as I can. So far, so good- nothing to complain about from what I can see!

It was a good day, all in all. Not a lot going on, which is a good thing too, lol. I read my book, went on Facebook a lot (I've adopted a puppy on there & Layla named her Reba so we like to play that) and cleaned up around here. No laundry even though it could have been done- no doing laundry on birthdays!!

Jake is now on Facebook as well. A lot of his friends were and since I am his friend on there I can keep tabs on him too ;-)

We went to New Yorker for dinner and it was delicious as always. They put Subway to shame! For basically the same price, you get twice (and I mean twice) the sub!
After that Layla and I went up to the Sandoz house to visit for awhile then back home for showers and cake.
The kids are always so excited when it's someone's birthday, it's funny :-)

So that's all for now- I need to get back in the groove with my photography, I miss it.
I have a session for 2 little boys planned in Sept. and another for this month, though I need to contact her for a def. date. Can't wait!
