I can't believe the kids go back to school in just 5 short days. Part of me is looking forward to the routine again but the other part will miss the lazy days, sleeping in & no homework, lol!
Layla will be going to pre-school too! It will definitely be harder on me than her! My last baby!
Still no pictures from vacation! I have got to do that & get them on here, shame on me!
I have one to share today, from this past weekend. It has been SO hot so I threw this together for the kids and they loved it! Heck, who am I kidding, I got in it too!
Sam got mad at me for something and got out before I could take the photo :-P
We called it our redneck water park! Ha ha!
Jake and I have been busy bees on Facebook with our farms on Farmville- it's so fun! In fact, it's almost time for me to quit blogging & harvest my raspberries, lol.
We also have fish tanks and a puppy to take care of. He does other things like some vampire game but I have drawn the line for myself...I can't hardly keep up with what I have, let alone add anything else!
Something I have been thinking about doing here lately is a recipe scrapbook. All mine and my family's recipes are on scraps of paper, tossed into a large baggie- not easy to find things & certainly not attractive or safe from rips, etc. So why not? I'd like to have pics of the finished product so we'll see. I may just scrap it, leave a spot for pics and add them as I go along, whenever I make a particular recipe.
I even know the papers I want to use! And the album. Can you tell I've thought things through a bit? Ha ha!
Graphic 45's Domestic Goddess is perfect and I love the retro/vintage look of the papers.
Well friends, that's all for today. Tomorrow is Sam's open house at school from 9-11, I plan on leaving around 10.
Then Jake's middle school orientation is Friday, same time, 9-11am. I think I'm going to get the neighbors to watch Sam and Layla, I don't really want to bring them along.
Friday night is *baby Zachary's* (as Layla calls him) 3rd birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and Saturday Russ leaves for D.C. to go to a Steelers pre-game against the Redskins- LUCKY!!!!! I will be here shuttling kids to soccer practice & games all weekend!
