Tues. night the kids enjoyed a nighttime snack of the yummiest pumpkin cookies EVER, compliments of my mom, and a nice mug of hot cocoa!
Wednesday night Jake fell at church while playing hide & seek- he fell & landed on a rock, face first- OUCH! His nose & lip were huge, bloody... it was so scary! He did go to school the next day. In fact, he insisted. They were going on a field trip to the Natural Bridge & Dixie Caverns and he was not about to miss it!
It looks better now, less swollen, but now it's all bruised-looking.
So we carved pumpkins Thurs. night, the latest we've ever done it! Not sure how the time got away from us, but it did!

...and finally, Halloween! I took a bunch of pics before we went to Russ' work.
Jake was a Clone Trooper (i think?) from Star Wars, Sam was Jeff Gordon and Layla was a witch...
and a couple from Russ' work- they decorate & dress up so nice! The kids got a ton of candy & loved every minute...

I do have more pics of them doing the actual trick or treating at night but it's mostly more of the same. The boys took off with their friends & I took Layla around. She did a great job of saying "trick or treat" and "thank you". The hard part comes afterwards, trying to keep her from eating candy all day and all night long! All candy bags must be well-hidden! LOL
Today I had my first *real* photo shoot that didn't involve my kids! My neighbor came over & asked me to do a photo shoot of his girls & their dog as a surprise for his wife's birthday.
We took the girls to the college campus a few minutes away & got some nice shots. The dog listened as well as Layla! LOL But it was a fun time!
I'd like to share a few but will post tomorrow if I can, I want to ask if he minds first.
Tomorrow is nothing but a big old laundry day! How does a house get so trashed & so much laundry piled up over a weekend??? That's not a rhetorical question, I'd really like to know!
Whatever, it's got to be done, Russ leaves for the week to Las Vegas so just me & the kids again next week...
