Sweet Dh!

So I just have to say- Russ did the sweetest thing yesterday! He picked Jake up from practice & when they got home Jake told me I had to come down to the garage to see something "strange". That's never a good thing so I went with trepidation, lol.
Well, I got down there & it was my FLAMINGOS!! LOL! I couldn't believe it!
Russ told Jake to say "strange" to trick me so it would be a surprise, lol.

For some background (which I'd say is needed here)... I'm a big Mama's Family fan and love her flamingos out front. So I decided a few weeks ago I wanted some. Now I know they're tacky! LOL But for some reason it was just one of those things, you know?
So I went to a couple places but since most of the summer lawn stuff was on its way out, there were none to be had :-(
I just decided to wait till next year.

So imagine my surprise when I saw these! And I was double surprised because Russ thinks they're just awful but was sweet enough to get them for me when he found them at Family Dollar on his lunch break yesterday!♥

I put them over to the side in one of our front beds so they're not prominently displayed for the world to see- only if you're in our yard or coming down from the cul-de-sac. But I know they're there! LOL
The kids love them of course. What's not to love about some bright pink plastic in your yard???!!! LOL

And yeah, I'll definitely be doing a scrap page on this ;-)
Ok, I'm a dork, I know! LOL

I set them up & took a picture last night- I just know my neighbors love me! :D



I was also able to scrap a page yesterday, yay! I did Lynnise's color challenge to use yellow, burgandy & gray with some black & white. I admit it sounded yuck but I managed to pull it off & it turned out better than I thought it would...



Another gray day so far... just makes me want to grab another cup of coffee & read. But I need to do a couple things, one being to charge the batteries in the Canon for Russ to take on his trip & #2 is getting another memory card since I only have one. Never use 2 cameras at once so it's never been an issue before.

Now I need to get busy...later gators...!
